Detailed Problem Description


EDI report has failed 2 days in a row - error is that report failed to load in BOBJ.
On Crystal end the error indicates that the database closed the connection message.

Solution Analysis and Recommendations


1. Need to check if the report failed due to database configuration issue.
2. Need to analyze failed instances of report in BI Launchpad.
3. Need to test the report by adding group server & without adding group server in CMC.
4. Need to validate report execution time in local remote machine.
5. Need to analyze on server side updates as well as report side changes.
6. Need to compare the instances before and after failed instance in BI Launchpad.
7. And also crosscheck with any updates done by NEC at the source level.

Resolution


1. Need to check if the report failed due to database configuration issue.
2. Need to analyze failed instances of report in BI Launchpad.
3. Need to test the report by adding group server & without adding group server in CMC.
4. Need to validate report execution time in local remote machine.
5. Need to analyze on server side updates as well as report side changes.
6. Added the filter condition in report level by NEC. i.e {@Sales Rep Code} = {TVGRT.VKGRP}.
